We've upgraded our A-Frame storage shed to create a
secure and attractive garage.
Features such as the overhead door and a reinforced
floor - strong enough for a full-sized vehicle - make
this building the perfect place to park your car, truck,
motorcycle, quad and more.
|
The STANDARD FEATURES on our 2 car garages include the
overhead doors, 4 windows and a wooden floor that has
been reinforced to easily bear the weight of
a full-size car or truck.
The newest addition to our line of garages is the Pine
Board and Batten - Available in 1 and 2 car sizes.
As with all the other structures we sell, this style
has a virtually unlimited number of customization options.

Overhead
Doors
Our overhead garage doors are available in several styles
and colors.
- Add Windows for an extra $40 per door.
- Upgrade to an insulated door for and extra $100
per door.
- Choose your color – brown or white –
no extra charge.
- Any of our overhead doors will work with an electric
garage door opener.
Overhead doors are STANDARD on all 2 car
garages.
Since our 1 car garages are modified A-frame storage
sheds, the overhead door is an UPGRADE of the
double-hinged doors that come Standard with all sheds.
Either way, most buyers want to add a side entry door
in order to avoid opening the overhead door just to
go in and out of the garage. (NOTE: A Side Entry
Door comes STANDARD with the Board & Batten Garages)
Again, there are several types of doors to choose from
depending on the siding you choose and your personal
preference.

REMEMBER.
The BEST thing you can do to preserve
the life of your garage, or any of our sheds,
is to install rain gutters. Keeping water away
from the building can extend the life of the painted
surface and the structure itself. |
Site preparation
for your garage can be more involved then a basic
shed depending on your needs, your preferences or local
requirements.
Remember, except for the board & batten style, all
our garages - whether 1 or 2 car - come standard with
a wooden floor. If you're concerned about deterioration
from ground moisture, consider these upgrades:
Pressure Treated Floor Joists: Add $ .20
/ square foot.
Pressure Treated Plywood: Add $.80 / square foot.
Pressure Treated Joists & Plywood Floor: Add $ 1.00
/ square foot

The other flooring option would be a concrete slab.
It has been our experience that some local municipalities
REQUIRE a concrete floor for any building used to house
cars or trucks. Please make sure to check the requirements
where you live before ordering your garage. |

Keep in mind, if you choose to have a concrete slab
as the garage floor, our carpenters will pre-built the
garage in our shop, bring the pieces to your site and
construct it on the slab. There will an extra charge for
the labor to build on-site.
Prepare your concrete slab 4” thick and to the exact,
outside, dimensions of your garage. Frame out the perimeter
with 2x4 or 2x6 pressure treated lumber, except for where
the door will be, and anchor the wood into the concrete.
It is very important to prepare your concrete pad, including
wood frame, to the exact size of the
building because we extend the exterior siding down over
the slab, and frame, to prevent water from coming back
up into the garage.
Although having your garage built on-site will cost extra
for the labor, you have the advantage of being able to
upgrade to a taller garage - 8’ side walls as opposed
to 7’ side walls.
A second floor is also an option. Since the garage is
coming as a “knocked down” shipment, we are
not limited by transportation height restrictions. Building
on-site is also great for those folks who don’t
have adequate accessibility for our delivery truck and
trailer to bring in a fully constructed building.
One other advantage is that you don’t have to have
the partial, center wall. This wall is needed for stability
and support when transporting and off-loading the 2 pre-built
halves of a 2 car garage. |
